About the Role

Job Overview

As a web developer, your primary focus is to create functional, visually appealing, and user-friendly websites and web applications. You will collaborate with clients, designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into well-structured code. Your role involves writing clean, efficient, and maintainable markup, scripting, and programming to ensure optimal website performance across various devices and browsers.

Key Accountabilities

Design and optimize databases, create efficient queries, and manage data within web applications using database management systems.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of web applications to identify and resolve issues, ensuring proper functionality, performance, and security.
Work closely with clients, designers, and other team members to understand project requirements, provide technical input, and communicate progress and challenges effectively.
Using scripting or authoring languages, management tools, content creation tools, applications, and digital media.
Conferring with teams to resolve conflicts, prioritize needs, develop content criteria, or choose solutions./Determining user needs by analyzing technical requirements.
Directing or performing Website updates.
Developing or validating test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types.
Editing, writing, or designing Website content, and directing team members who produce content.
Back up files from Web sites to local directories for recovery.
Evaluating code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, is properly structured, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred but not always required for fresh graduates). While previous experience is a plus, fresh graduates can compensate by highlighting their relevant skills, demonstrating their potential through writing samples or projects, and expressing a strong willingness to learn and contribute to this kind of field.
Strong understanding of front-end technologies, including responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web accessibility.
Experience with server-side programming languages like and familiarity with relevant frameworks.
Knowledge of database management systems and database design.
Version control systems such as Git for code management and collaboration.
Understanding of web security best practices and familiarity with common security vulnerabilities.
Problem-solving and analytical thinking to identify and resolve technical issues.
